Stage 1 closes: first funding round underway
Throughout July a wide range of ideas have been submitted for the inaugural funding round of Ufi Charitable Trust. The fund is now closed to new applicants while the trustees carefully consider the ideas put forward, and decide which ones show the most promise for meeting the Trust’s aims of ‘scaling up’ vocational and adult learning. Successful applicants will be invited to Stage 2, where they will be asked for details about how they will deliver their projects.
Ray Barnes, Chair of Ufi, said:
‘This is where the work of the Trust starts in earnest. I am very pleased at the way organisations have reacted to this opportunity. We are seeing some highly innovative ideas that have the potential to make a real difference to the education and training landscape’
The Trustees will be evaluating Stage 1 submissions in August, and applicants will be informed of the results in early September. The fund will be open again for new applications in 2013.
