Ufi Recruiting Two Trustees

By Stephen Hinde, Community Manager for Ufi Charitable Trust. Original article from Prospectus recruitment can be found here.

We are now seeking two new Trustees to join our high performing and collegiate board as we enter an exciting period with a new strategy. The new Trustees will share our motivation and values whilst bringing senior leadership experience and strategic vision.

We are looking to strengthen the board with two profiles; a senior leader with experience of asset management and a passion for impact investment, and an investment expert with experience in early stage venture capital.

We are committed to achieving greater diversity in our board, and welcome applications regardless of sex, gender, race, age, sexuality, belief or disability.

We are looking for Trustees who will share our passion for change through technology in the world of adult learning, whether that be in education, the workplace, or self-driven.

Applicants don’t require a background in the sector, but we are looking for people who can be as excited by the possibilities for innovative tech as we are!

(Tom Wilson, Chair - Ufi)

We are pleased to be working with Prospectus for the recruitment of our new Trustees and would advise that all questions, applications, or informal conversations be with Prospectus directly. Information of who to contact can be found at the bottom of their job posting page here.

Deadline for applications: 9th September 2019

Ufi To Launch VocTech Podcast

The Voctech Podcast will go out twice a month on The Edtech Podcast feed, featuring guests from across adult education and training providers, employers and learning development specialists, investors in vocational and adult education, technologists, academics, policy advisors, and lifelong learners.

The Voctech Podcast will go out to a growing audience of 2,000 weekly downloads from over 145 countries.

The existing Edtech Podcast show will continue alongside, covering “ed” and “tech” from early years, K-12, to Higher Ed and beyond. Sophie Bailey, Founder, The Edtech Podcast says

I am delighted to collaborate with Ufi Charitable Trust to uncover the stories behind adult learning. How are employers and employees navigating the changing world of work and skills development, and training providers adapting to support it? Where are investors making moves? How are adults getting to grips with learning as they progress through life with all its myriad challenges and opportunities and what it means to our self-worth to learn? I’m looking forward to getting as many people involved in that conversation as possible.

Rebecca Garrod-Waters, CEO of Ufi Trust adds

We are thrilled to be working with the EdTechPodcast on the VocTech Podcast. Ufi is a proud and passionate supporter and funder of all aspects of vocational technology and the VocTech Podcast is a great way to celebrate and support the VocTech community.
