VocTech Seed 2018 is Open!
VocTech Seed 2018 is now open for applications for grants of up to £50k over 12 months, for early stage projects that could have a real impact on vocational learning.
Ufi are looking for interesting new ideas for using digital technology to outcomes for learners and the quality of vocational teaching and training. The application process is open to all technologies and organisations, and is particularly suitable for entrepreneurs and start-ups.
VocTech Seed has supported a diverse portfolio of projects across all sectors since its launch in 2015, from just-in-time learning for social care, through to VR for cultural heritage skills. Many VocTech Seed projects are providing completely new ways to learn – one of our early projects is making the invisible world of chemical molecules visible to learners, who can see and interact with them to better understand how the molecular world works.
Rebecca Garrod-Waters, Ufi Chief Executive said ‘This is our 4th VocTech Seed call and every year we support exciting projects from people who have a passion for improving vocational skills. We know that there are many challenges facing the UK when it comes to vocational skills with employers, employees, and providers looking for new solutions. VocTech Seed 2018 provides funding to test how digital tech can help solve those problems. I’m really excited to see what ideas come forward this year’.
To apply online for VocTech Seed 2018 you need to register with Ufi. The fund is open from 13 February 2018 until 5pm on 14 March. For more information, guidance and to sign up to a workshop or webinar visit our website.
NOTE: If you’re working on a great project but VocTech Seed is not suitable for your idea, the dates of our 2018 calls are now available online. We hope this will help applicants choose which call best suits their project and schedule in the work on their project applications.
